Review of the Sigma 16mm f1.4 DC DN

The Canon M50 is a fantastic camera for vlogging. Small, light, fully articulating screen, mic input, dual-pixel autofocus, and that legendary Canon color. I’ve used one for the past year in all of my landscape photography videos, and for the most part, have enjoyed using it with Canon’s EF-M 11-22mm.

That said, I’ve always wanted a EF-M wide-angle lens with a large aperture for filming in low-light environments and softer depth-of-field, but up until now, that lens didn’t exist. In this video review, I put the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 through the paces with my Canon M50 and contrast the lens against my 11-22mm to see how they compare from a performance and quality-of-image perspective.
