I traveled to Prague with the agency droga5 in November of 2016 to shoot MailChimp’s “Did You Mean” campaign. The trip was memorable not only because of the films (which were shot in a brutalist, former communist party headquarters), but because the shoot was the same week of Trump’s presidential victory in the US. That event caused little-to-no sleep for everyone involved, which when combined with the nature of our films and the other-worldly grandeur of Prague itself, created a surreal, unforgettable atmosphere. When we weren’t on the set shooting, I was out walking and exploring the beautiful city drinking mulled wine in the piercing cold.
