Above the arctic circle in northern Norway lies Lofoten, an archipelago of icy fjords, majestic mountains, and historic fishing villages. It's a place of stunning beauty where traditions of the sea have been handed down for centuries.

Arriving in Lofoten during winter in early 2019, I explored fjords, beaches and small seaside towns. Each day, Lofoten proved to be a fantastic subject for landscape photography, but the weather was always a challenge. Sunny blue skies one minute, then torrential hail, snow and wind the next. It made for a wildly unpredictable shooting experience in one of the world’s most beautiful environments.
