Kauai is Hawaii’s northern-most island and home to many incredible natural wonders — tropical rain forests, towering seaside cliffs, and awe inspiring canyons. When I visited the island in April of 2018, Kauai had just been hit the day before by a tremendous tropical storm; blocking access to some island areas. Nonetheless, I was able to hike and explore numerous areas with highlights including hiking the Awa'awapuhi Trail to the edge of the Napali Coast and swimming in the natural ocean-front pool known as Queen’s Bath.
